The director Des McAnuff was approached for "BOOH" but it didn't work out. Maybe because he was looking for another sung-through. Did Cameron Mackintosh produce the West End version? Pete Townshend tried to follow it up with a musical called "The Iron Giant" which didn't really work as a stage piece but I think it was turned into a film. He has just written a rock opera called "The Boy Who Heard Music". What kind of reviews did "Tommy" get in Australia? The critc from The Daily Express has just been to Australia to review some of the shows and he gave "Hairspray" a rave review. I think he was reviewing the Melbourne version. | |
