| Just got back - wow! See BOOH live whilst you can - seriously! Okay, Meat has aged - but seems more mobile than some recent shows. Middle register has suffered over the years, no doubting it, but the softer/upper parts were in reasonably fine fettle tonight - delivery and connection with audience is still simply outstanding! Not going to criticize but it was a game of 2 halves tonight. Setlist Red Light/life is a lemon Dead ringer for love If it ain't broke break it L.A. Looser Giving tree Objects in the rear view Mirror Frying pan INTERLUDE Bat out of Hell Took the words (Jim and Carla intro) Heaven can wait All revved up Two outta three (introduced by "Country Jim-bob Steinman") Paradise For Crying out loud (introduced by Jimmy "genius" Steinman Encore: Anything for love (abridged with long Justin Avery piano intro) Boneyard/freebird/All revved up reprise. An emotional sacrament to the songs of my youth. Fuck vocal perfection, this was awesome! | |
