I do remember reading somewhere that Lynn and Stephen the songwriters wanted this song to sound like "a Meat Loaf song", hence the Steinman involvement. I love it. It's the one song from the movie NOT in the new upcoming Broadway version, as Rasputin was completely jettisoned from the show.
