Can't believe I never brought this band up before. I ran across their CDs when shuffling other CDs around my shelf to make room for new ones.
Around 2007 I discovered a band called The Lonely Forest when I got a promo copy of their EP Regicide. This is a band with a steinmanesque sound; piano led, they are a little more on the garage rock side than the symphonic rock, but I can imagine Jim's early work coming across like this.
The album We Sing The Body Electric was more pop oriented; I have not heard their other albums but I should.
