I do appreciate that they need to cut something in order to make the show a commercial success: people won't buy tickets if they can't get home afterwards. The Saturday performance was 3hrs and 10mins - that demands a hotel room for the night and makes it unaffordable for a lot of people. This show should be accessible to all.

I would start by shortening the Act 1 dialogue. There were times when I was getting a bit impatient waiting for the next song. Opera traditionally copes without any dialogue at all...

If they absolutely cannot get it down to under 2 1/2hrs without cutting songs then I fear Making Love Out of Nothing at All should probably be the first one to go. It isn't well known so noone seeing the show for the first time would miss it and it isn't essential to the plot.
