Bat Out of Hell EXTENDS Manchester run after "overwhelming demand" from fans

Meat Loaf musical Bat Out of Hell has wowed audiences and critics alike at the Opera House, now more tickets are being released

Meat Loaf musical Bat Out Of Hell is extending its run in Manchester - after wowing audiences and critics at the Opera House.

The rock extravaganza held its world premiere opening night earlier this week, and has won a clutch of five star reviews from critics.

Now producers say to cope with “overwhelming public demand” they are extending the run of shows in Manchester by another three weeks.

The show features the music of Jim Steinman made famous by rock icon Meat Loaf, including Bat Out Of Hell, Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad, Dead Ringer for Love, and his later megahit I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That).

It soundtracks a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love set in a dystopian future world Obsidian.

Directed by award-winning theatre and opera director Jay Scheib, the cast of Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical is led by Andrew Polec as Strat and Christina Bennington as Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane.

The show opened for previews at the Opera House on February 17, and has been winning a growing army of fans, with over 25,000 people already heading to see the show.

With the new dates, it will play for a total of ten weeks in the city, an impressive run for an entirely new production.

At the red carpet gala night a host of celebrities were among those heaping praise on the show, including Happy Mondays star Bez, Genesis legend Mike Rutherford and Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard.

Meat Loaf himself attended the pre-launch for the show back in November, alongside the show's leading man Andrew Polec who has been winning rave reviews for his role as Strat in the show.
