| It may be the recent mediocrity I've been subjected to but in my messing about with youtube's offerings as of late, I must say I was gobsmacked all over again listening to Meatloaf's "For Crying Out Loud" right after a demo where Jim played piano to a mystery man taking on the song back in 1975. After years of tolerating The Loaf only because Jim would publicly defend him, it really occurred to me truly what a glorious singer, hence vehicle, Meat was for Jim's songs. Mind you, after '93 it's hard for me to warm up to much of Meat's offerings. Alot of the 'Bad for Good' material was lessened when Meatafied except of course 'When Rock n Roll Dreams Come Through'and all the latter lacking Jim's involvement. It's rare when music touches me to the point of neck hair standing on end anymore--but dammit, I should have known that if it were to happen, that damned Steinman would be well within 6 degrees.
