Ryan! Gosh it feels like years. I remember Smeghead giving you a hard time so many years ago but I think it was because he really believed in your talent. I remember when you were going to perform in public for, I think, the first time at a club in Australia. I believe you were going to perform “Confessions of a Vampire”. The whole board was very supportive.

I remember the craziness of Susan and how Jim was really a cat.

I remember you being the first to tell me how Dark Side of The Moon syncs up perfectly with The Wizard of Oz on mute. I remember Don Claude Devious. Most of all I remember you always being so passionate about Jim’s music.

I apologize for going down memory lane but I feel like Jim’s passing has made me really remember how much I needed this place when I was a teenager. I logged in and posted almost daily for years. If I wasn’t posting I was certainly checking the board multiple times a day.

I remember all the excitement when Jim briefly posted and blogged. I remember him asking for the best whispered final lines in movies. My contribution was the final line of “Apocalypse Now” and his response was how he remembered the Mad magazine cover with “Apocalypse Now” listed as “A Crock Of Shit Now”. I still can’t believe I got to briefly converse with Jim, even just over the computer.

As social media platforms took over, I never really moved on with them. I miss this board so much. It’s sad thinking how important it was to me during crucial years of my life and now it’s just not the same with everyone gone and now Jim.

Anyway, it was really nice seeing you post. It sounds strange but I’ve missed interacting on here. I hope you’re doing well. Boy, wasn’t 2020 a shit year? Hopefully, it can only get better. Maybe a few more former regulars will post here too. Who knows?
