If I’m just the casual fan who comes across the album during its release, I would’ve felt deceived upon finding out it wasn’t all Jim songs. At least we as fans knew beforehand. I wonder how many people bought it and were pissed seeing a Diane Warren song on a Bat album. The Nikki Sixx and Desmond songs weren’t much better. At least for a Bat album. They were modern and never allowed us to depart the modern world. When I listen to Bat 1 and 2, I feel like my mind temporary leaves this world and it’s troubles behind. I’m transported to another place. Bat 3 had none of that at all. It was produced by people who had no idea what made the first two remotely unique. I have to wonder if Meat had difficulty receiving songs at the time? He has a very distinct musical style. > > I never got over it.
