Meat was offered to become an opera singer, receive full training and everything. I think because he was a rare Heldentenor. The reason it didn't work out though was because Meat felt he would be restricted onstage. You have to follow the conductor, Meat said. But when Meat performs, he totally loses himself in it. He wouldn't be able to do that *and* focus on the conductor.
