Not sure what I did with it, but I know I have it somewhere. I wanted to hear how it sounded. It sounds very out of character for a Steinman song, whereas I still think stuff like "Garlic" and "A Pretty Daughter Is A Blessing" reminds me of "Everything Louder" in a way. The more I think about it the more this proves the director had no idea what he was doing.

People are quick to blame Crawford but, really, the director was just as much at fault. His only previous major experience was the musical comedy "Urinetown", he was so unqualified for the job it shocks me that he got it. I still want to know why John Caird didn't get it. In the earlier versions of danceofthevampires.com HE and Steinman are listed as the directors. Next to Roman Polanski and Hal Prince, really, I think Caird's the next guy you'd trust. After all, he directed "Les Miserables" and that was a translation of the hit French musical (although, OK, I admit, he had Trevor Nunn's hand to hold)

No, I blame Crawford, Rando, Carraffa, the Minskoff Theatre which was totally wrong for it IMO, Max was too brave for Alfred, Sarah's not supposed to sound like Celine Dion, I blame Mandy who was in the wrong part, Chagal, Magda and Rebecca were all good and could have done very well in the original version, Herbert was all wrong and a nasty stereotype of gays whereas Herbert in Germany was so elegant, I COMPLETELY blame Boris and whoever had the idea to cut Koukol and put him in, I blame the incompetent producers, basically I could have a go at most everyone involved in this show. It just came out all wrong. How can anything so right go so wrong? It was that simple yet they destroyed it.
