I think that for a man to perform this song, is ideal but not for a woman. And, I know that all you will be continuing to be angry with me for suggesting that Rory Dodd does not sing this song, but that is my position. I've listened to it, and listened to it and listened to it, and the more I hear it the more it is a surety to me, not being Rory Dodd. In addition, I did refresh my memory of Rory Dodd recently when I viewed the Bat Out Of Hell DVD. And, this also does not alter my position on the subject. Whenever you are ready to discuss this without making too many odd animated faces, I'd be happy to delve into it with you.

The beginning of the song is very whispful, like a classical, and then it does seem to break out into something that is more countryish, I can say because I heard it several times today before seeing your post. The melody is not quite set into a rock tempo, and not quite in a classical framework either. I would have to agree with your assessment, but I wouldn't put a Nowhere Fast twang on it either.

See my "argument" above: it's JIM!!! And by all means, finish your work on it.

What is your opinion of the two songs when compared side-by-side, the "metal" version of the song with its very dramatic and urgent lyrics, or this one? Why choose this version and not the other?
