Meats European Tour Facts

· Since May 10th, right after having been touring in the US, Meat has done 3 open airs and 20 shows in all the major European indoor arenas. Capacities from 10.000 onwards (besides the slightly smaller ones in Dublin and Amsterdam).
· Most of them were sold out, just like Manchester with 18.000 each for two shows in a row. All others were packed, none besides the mentioned smaller ones and the less-attended Basel/Switzerland had less than 10.000 in attendance.
· His voice, the big 2,5 hour plus production and the musicianship were met with great reviews for the most part.
· Towards the end (Germany onwards) after being hit by a sun stroke at Denmarks festival Meats vocal chords became tired. He made it through and still had a big night in him in Frankfurt.
· Other big names touring right now fail to reach Meats figures (i.e. Aorosmith had 8000 in Cologne on Thursday). But Meat could add another European leg later this year due to the demand.

If Stupidhead would still be here, I would say: Not bad for a guy past his selldate! Actually many would wish to be past their selldate by these means…

Yes, Meats vocal chords are fragile and sensitive. But isn`t that what can be said of all the great things in life? That happens towards the end of tours. How can anyone attending those shows before Germany or hearing Bat 3 question Meats abilities? How come people questioning the whole thing, when there are some explainable mishappenings? And credit to Meat he kept all the vocals live (unlike so many others). Just the wall of sound during the chorus of Pigs seemed to be beefed up backstage.

I love music and spend my money on it: Having seen Toto (way too many solos), Genesis (boring, no big show and no other than Collins voice for all the night), Diana Ross (well, lapse), Journey (great!), Keith Urban (there has to be one picked by the girl) Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Mika and some smaller acts (Danny Vaughn is the one to check out!) so far this year I feel entitled to measure the quality and impact of what is on offer. Frying Pan or RnR Dreams were worth attending alone. Meat has the voice, passion, charisma, popularity, following and media attention to still make SteinMeatmusic conquer the world!

MMP

BTW, forr anyone interested: That World bowl Football match in Frankfurt was the last. Today the announcement was made, that the European league calls it a day after loosing money for years now. Europeans seem to have a better taste in music and sports J.
