My friend Wilson was the original director for the new Bat production. When I first heard he got the job, I was really excited because I have been a Jim fan since 1977.

He showed me the script that Jim had written. This is how I know that the show won't really be Cirque on acid. Although there is a giant alien embryo which explodes just before intermission, showering the audience with red jello.

The script is fairly conservative. It follows the story of Peter Pan and Hook but with some great changes. Hook is now an evil police chief, for example.

Of course there will be motorcycles. But not as many as when Jim decided to do a simple arena show. Don't believe posts from six months ago. Everything has changed.

Wilson has friends who work on the production, even though he is no longer the director. We get regular updates.

Jim has now written a very detailed script which can only be made into a traditional musical. There is no room for monster trucks.

My friend Wilson had great difficulty in editing the script because it was complicated by Jim's brilliant ideas. There was so much genius, it was difficult to know what to keep and what to throw away. This is why Jim fired him.
