The verses are different. This is the demo for example:

And it's not just the lyric, but the melody sounds different as well. I don't know why they did that. They could have just taken the demo and make it a rock song. Also, that section on the demo goes straight into this bit:
And we'll do it our way...
But in the Meat version it goes into another chorus. Also, "amputees sing" is changed to "Anthems we sing" and in the demo we never hear the word "Listen to the animals sing" twice because the line always changes, e.g. "Listen to the marketplace sing", "Listen to the amputees sing", "Listen to the chosen ones sing". Again, I don't know why they did this.
