Double checked, it's called Kickstarter. A lot of video game and indy film people use it to get budgets met for big projects. Usually you donate a specific amount and if the project happens you get whatever you paid for, if it doesnt you dont actually have to spend any money at all.
Jim and Meat should use it and make the album we all want!!
