It would be interesting to juxtaposition these two songs together because I can see that the two could coexist in the show just that way, but I'd be more inclined to think of the verses alternating with an order of Life Is A Lemon coming before Land Of The Pig, just because that is what I read from the lyrics of the two as they exist in the jimsteinman website and metalyrics (just delete out the plural form of "pigs" from that resource). The viewpoints of the downtrodden, in Life Is A Lemon, and those of the tyrants, in Land Of The Pig, seem to meet in the middle where they each agree upon the atmosphere of hopelessness, in Life, and insurance, in Pig. But I also see Pig as a giver of the key without a taker.....all that is needed, according to the musing tyrant, is that the people say a thing to help themselves. And in Life, the people are grumbling amongst themselves, merely thinking that they are saying what they need to say, to whom they need to say it, but they are not. It is truly, therefore, a difference of views that takes on the additional patina of ignorance. In Pig, the tyrant is ignorant of the awareness of the victims, and in Life, the victims are ignorant of their trails for salvation. And that, one could surmise, would bring the call to Batman.
