He's been using a backing track that he sings along to on certain songs for a couple of years now. It is pretty obvious when he uses it, because it sounds too much like the CD. A good number of performers do this, but they are usually more dance oriented singers. Anyway 99% of "live" cd's and dvd's are sweetened up in the studio in post-production and I'm sure this won't be any different.
