A few facts of internet life for you Ryan -

- if you post your unobfuscated email address on the web, you WILL get spam

- no ISP or email provider will guarantee to filter out all spam.

- any email you get asking you to confirm details, whether it's email details or IM details or banking details or ebay details *IS* a fake

- responsibility for spotting scams etc. is your and yours alone.

So, in short, "you dork!".

Some spam filtering systems are better than others. gmail for example includes spam filtering and is pretty good.
