Well, I'm going totally by memory here so I'm open to correction, but I think "Hero" was a hit roughly 6 months before the album was released, so I'd guess the decision to include it was made about then. It had also bombed first time out but became a top 10 hit on the back of radio play I think - anyone confirm/deny this? "Here She Comes" was another failure for Bonnie in the UK I'm afraid - certainly didn't make the Top 40, so no reason to include it. My guess is that they had "Before This Night Is Through" recorded and ready for the album, then when they decided to include "Hero" it was dropped (from the original vinyl issue that is - it was a bonus track on the cassette). > I've really grown to appreciate it over a long period of > time. Not just "Simply the Best", but also "Don't Turn Around" which was a no 1 for Aswad after she had recorded it and "Save Up All Your Tears" which Cher took into the Top 10 a year or so later.
