In many ways, Meat Loaf has spent his career trying to live up to the success of 1977's "Bat Out of Hell," which explains why there have been second and third installments of the saga. Problem with last year's third (aka "The Monster Is Loose") is that songwriter Jim Steinman didn't want anything to do with it. Some of his songs were used anyway. Bombast and theatrics are what make Marvin Lee Aday Meat Loaf, but it's really time to put this concept to rest.
