The full credit for the episode shows that it was a video piece - "Land of a Thousand Dances" (music video) Performed by the WWF Superstars and there are 4 producers listed including Jim, Cyndi Lauper and Rick Derringer. Now, 'Land of a Thousand Dances' appeared on "The Wrestling Album", which was released as a tie-in to the show. The album contained 'Hogan's Theme' (i.e. Ravishing)produced by Jim, 'Real American' which replaced it as Hogan's ring-music and was produced by Derringer, and "Captain Lou's History of Music" which was produced by Lauper under the pseudonym of Mona Flambe (although some sources claim it was actually a Derringer production). All very confusing, but I've yet to see a source that suggests Jim had anything to do with the song 'Land of a Thousand Dances', and his only involvement on the album is as original producer of 'Ravishing'. | |
