In lieu of any updates from Jim, I'm wondering if/when the Bat show will open.
A lot of new theatre has already been announced for the first half of 2008, and into the Autumn. Bat is now looking at very late 2008 or (probably) 2009, and no sign (yet) of this 'purpose built' theatre in London.
Saw a documentary the other night on Lord of The Rings at Drury Lane. One of the most expensive shows ever (£14M/$28M), with a very complex rising stage. Despite a lot of technical problems, the production team managed to pull it all together on time, which hopefully bodes well for the Bat show 'visions'.
Would like to see TDE get their album out before the show, as some type of promotional push for the Steinman name, but I'm not sure if Jim wants the 'new' songs (Body, Children, NATL etc) out before the show. If they're kept back, Jim could probably claim they are new and written specifically for the show.
If there is a concept album and/or charity show for 'Bat', should Meat be involved? If Jim & Meat can 'patch it up' (wonder when they last talked) I think it wouldn't hurt the promo at all.
Can see Meat recording 'Who Needs The Young' (was this intended for Bat 1?), although I would like to hear him do 'Body..' as well (but not before TDE).
Bonnie Tyler's album with Jim? I have no idea when (2008?), and I wonder if Jim has any new stuff for her? If Jim has time for an album (away from Bat), wouldn't an Adrienne Warren album be more worthwhile (commercially)?
