| I am not sure why they gave the Classic Album award for Bat Out Of Hell to just Meat Loaf. As we all know, the names of both Meat and Jim appear on the cover. The following is from today's Daily Express newspaper: "Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page was proclaimed one of the greatest rock musicians of all time last night. The 63-year-old veteran was handed a Living Legend award at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour ceremony before watching video tributes to him from around the world. Aerosmith front-man Steve Tyler handed him the prize of a Gibson Les Paul guitar signed by guitar innovator Les Paul himself, then led the cheers for the Led Zeppelin star, who is still nursing a fractured finger. Page is not the only rocker currently nursing an injury. Meat Loaf's daughter, Pearl Aday, had to collect the Classic Album award for Bat Out Of Hell on behalf of her father. She said he was at home with acute laryngitis and could not attend Classic Rock magazine's annual bash, held last night at the Landmark London Hotel." | |
