I prefer my guy to have a 6 or 7 o'clock shadow--clean shaven would be OK, but it doesn't have to be shaved every day. (Hey! This software is underlining "shaven" in red, but as a professional grammarian, I totally accept that form! Analogous morphology and all that...)

I suppose I'm inconsistent in that when I see guys who AREN'T mine, I kind of like them with the goatee/mustache combination. But it has to be on someone else's guy, not my own. (But it's possible that all of the examples of attractive men with goatees are people with charisma to begin with, so they get away with it.)

Not that you asked, but I like mine to have either short or long hair. (Maybe because my guy is a retired sailor--I liked him before he retired, and I like him now. But I have a rule: His hair has to be geographically as far "south" as his beard and sideburns. So he can't have a beard unless his hair is long. (At least my rules aren't as strict as the U.S. Navy...)

p.s. I like bald guys and guys with receding hairlines, too. Facial hair shouldn't include bangs.

p.p.s. Thanks for asking!
