| Never felt 'shunned' over the Steinman thing, but since WTTN, people in geneal haven't taken the fact I like Meatloaf seriously! Most people are generally ignorant of who Jim is and what he's responsible for. Those wo do know of jim often attribute sub-par Loaf stuff to actully being witten by Jim. Most of my 'crowd' are Metallers/goths/punks. They generally shun anything that appeals to the masses as lacking integrity. They'll take the piss out of something like AFL/TEOTH, but after a few bevvies you'll see them on the dancefloor for 'More' or 'This corrosion'. They dont acknowledge it as the same work. All in all though, the this community probably can be referred to in popular terms as a 'cult'. One has to scratch below the surface his product to even find out who he is. It takes almost religious dedication by individuals with a real passion and desire for knowledge to create a place like this, in which we can all log on for daily worship. | |
