Super Audio CD. It's never caught on; there a few SACDs around and very few SACD players. You can't even play them on a PC with DVD/CD drive.
It's higher quality than regular CD, and/or can hold more channels. So it can do surround sound, for example 5.1 (4 corner speakers + centre-front speaker + sub-woofer). Much like DVD really except it doesn't do video.
Pudding has some files on his blog which are from the 5.1 mix of BooH. Whether they actually came from an SACD or a DVD-A (DVD audio disk) I don't know for sure. The files contain *only* the sound for the centre speaker. The mix is such that Meat's voice is placed on the centre speaker, plus some (but nowhere near all) of the instruments. It's the closest any of us mere mortals will get to hearing Meat's vocal track on its own.
