So I've only just now got around to getting Todd's ARENA, even though I've been thinking about it for aaaages.
I suspect much like LIARS it will grow and grow on me. LIARS took me a little while, but now I adore it and keep going back to it.
So without repeating old ground per se -- I wanted to specifically talk about the Arena track TODAY. It instantly sounded to me like it's a Liars leftover re-recorded for Arena.
And given the lyrical content, it *may* well have been, what with Past / Future. "Today's the day to settle scores, tomorrow we'll be even" is certainly to me a suitable adjunct to the LIARS concept, if not a bit more of a stretch than the other tracks, which (along with the time limitations of CD) may have been a reason it didn't make the cut, if indeed that is the case.
Completely unfounded rumour-mongering, but possible?
