Spot on. I've always thought Thunder Road was the Springsteen song that sounded most like Steinman. The piano into is spookily similar to Objects... as well.
Not to mention the lyrics:
"There were ghosts in the eyes of all the boys you sent away / They haunt this dusty beach road in the skeleton frames of burnt out Chevrolets".
