| I met John Hughes once at a screening in Westwood years ago. He had written and directed a short film that I thought should have been produced for the stage called, "Reach for the Rock." I think his son did the music, which was good but could have used some variation. I think he may have helped finance the production and was renting the theater. The movie was similar to his teen-worship 1980s stuff with a little wrong-side-of-the-tracks-self-righteousness.
