I will show the article to my mum but she was already predicting this (as were loads of other people). Its a show with a gigantic budget which is being written by two chaps who failed with Clockwork Orange: The Musical and who have never been successful outside of rock (at which they are brilliant). Jim is different because his songs are suited to theatre and he has been involved in many theatrical projects (DOTV did not fail because of the music). I know that with BOOH, Jim and the others are going to come up with a very interesting spectacle. But it is quite different from Spiderman because it will not be just a spectacle. It will be a well written show with dramatic integrity. And the budget will be nothing like the budget for Spiderman. They didn't need that much money to create a cartoon spectacle. Although people were saying that James Cameron was nuts before Titanic opened. What a huge budget that was. But now the Post is saying that Spiderman has collapsed before it has even opened. I can assure you that Jim and the others would not let BOOH collapse that far down the line, before it had even opened. | |
