Brave New World

I just started reading Brave New World and it feels like the whole Max/Hook scene from Neverland with "The test tubes are starting to bleed" was inspired by this book.

I'm guessing that this and so much of the meaningful stuff has been eliminated from the Bat musical version of Neverland. It reminds me that when Joe Papp tried to put on The Dream Engine he said that if it had made it to the stage instead of the shows that became successful at the time (something like La Cage or something) that Broadway would have taken a whole different direction and gone with Meaningful shows over Chandelier shows... don't know how true that might or might not be... but I do fear that all the deep and meaningful things in Neverland will be excised for Russian Acrobats and BMX bikers and the like...
