| Last week, Evil One asked me: "But did you have Yorkshire Pudding and gravy or Yorkshire Pudding and jam?" I am vegetarian, so I had baked beans instead of gravy. I hope this does not offend any passing Yorkshiremen. It has never occured to me to try Yorkshire Pudding with jam. I would be grateful to any members who have tried this mix to let me know what it tastes like and if they recommend it, before I experiment. I am so glad to finally understand why Pudding is called Pudding. I used to think that it was odd for such an aggresive little chap to call himself a desert. I was thinking of pink whipped fluffy strawberry pudding with a cherry on top. Then I learned that the honourable Pudding is not originally from Australasia. He is from Yorkshire and his choice of the name Pudding was him paying homage to Yorkshire Pudding. Suddenly things made sense. Yorkshire Pudding is much more masculine than after dinner sweet dishes. Now I can see that the name Pudding is a great choice for someone with Pudding's special personality. It would be nice if Pudding could post a recipe for Yorkshire Pudding on his massive blog. For the benefit of those members who live in parts of the world where Yorkshire Pudding is not made. It really is delicious and worth a try. | |
