It's a strange situation. He's done so much good in his life, yet one cannot forget that instance of ridiculously poor judgement. It puts a shadow on all the light he shined. Like others who did horrible things but led lives of public service (like John McCain, Laura Bush, or John Edwards), there will always be those who revere him and those who revile him.
