Indeed! The referenced lyrics/titles work extremely well. "Someone has opened up Pandora's Box...", very clever. I much prefer this rather than recycling complete songs or passages for that matter.
The lyrics are in fact more Batman-esque than what I have heard from the Steinman demos.
Probably THE best song I have heard this year so far...
