| Yeah, I was never a Black Sabbath fan, and I think now a lot of that was because Ozzy's voice just doesn't do it for me. The guy probably has one of the most distinctive singing voices in rock history, but I just don't care for it. The irony being, I guess, that Meat Loaf - at his best, at his worst - has always had one of the most distinctive voices in rock, and his voice just struck a chord with me from the beginning. Dio cracks me up, though - the guy claims to have invented the "devil horns" metal sign, he's been rocking for something like 40 years, he's more or less associated with that unique brand of metal that loves Satan (to those who don't know any better), he looks a bit like the crypt keeper these days, and, in between songs, when he chats with the crowd, you might think you were at a Wayne Newton show. He's extremely polite and mild mannered, like something out of a Vegas lounge act. "Good evening, Boston. Its great to be here tonight. You're a wonderful audience. This next song is off of (insert album name here). We hope you like it.." Very incongruous. Very UN-metal. But funny. > For me it's Sabbath with Dio before Sabbath with Ozzy.
