| It reminded me of a lot of things, actually. But this place was one of them. I have recently swung by here off and on and tried to keep up with discussions, but they're largely innane, and often somewhat non-sequitar. So I usually give up. But I saw a fat guy with no legs in a motorized wheelchair, and it reminded me of this place back when I used to hang here a little bit, because this particular guy was actually a guy I used to live with, a slightly talented musician and hair metal enthusiast, a drug addict and a pain in the arse, and he used to post here sometimes when we lived together. He was a semi-Meat Loaf fan. Don't think he knew who the hell Steinman is, but he trolled around here anyway because I used to be online here all the time yeeeaaaarrrrrs ago, and now he has no legs. Frigging AWKWARD to see, man. God only knows WHY he has no legs, but my guess from the gut on him is some kind of drug-induced diabetes. Or he passed out on a railway line. I'd like to think that, one way or another, his hard drug habit had something to do with it. He'd be about 30 and he looks about 52. I think he saw me too but we just kept on our sweet old way. And the moral of the story, is this place is sort of in a similar state by the look of it. :oP It's obviously some kind of strange convergence. ALSO, and I think this last bit is definitely of some significance, today the hinge on my very best of Meat Loaf broke. :o( Must be time for Meat to release a new best of. | |
