| Bellminer sounded slightly negative when he wrote about Meat Loaf: Behind The Music: Remastered. He said: "Just watched it on VH1 Classic. When they say 'remastered' what they actually mean is they cut out a bunch of stuff at the beginning so they could update it with new stuff at the end." Can anyone remember the original version well enough to tell us exactly what was cut? I thought it was quite good. As far as I know, its the only documentary to show the video of Jim performing "Dance In My Pants" (please correct me if I am wrong). In fact there was a lot of Jim content. And JD got a thank you credit at the end. Which was nice to see. I suppose anything about TMIL will be seen in a negative way by most Jim fans. Even though Meat and Desmond Childs tried their best to give Jim credit (I guess to connect him to the project). Its probably credit that Jim doesn't want since he was against Meat and Desmond going ahead with any recording that used the "Bat" name. The Melbourne Symphony recording of "Bat Out Of Hell" was bad enough (when Meat sneaked in a song by another writer) but TMIL was meant to be the official third part of a "Bat Triology". | |
