That's Mr. Egg to you, young man.

Of course the supply of stupid questions in the world will never be exhausted. You just have to think hard (like when you are straining during constipation) and one will pop into your head.

> > Dave, do you know why the televison channel called "Dave"
> > is called "Dave"?

It's not a stupid question. Jim has a British television setup in America and he asked Elva the question before I asked you (its okay to say this because it has nothing to do with "BOOH The Musical"). I told Elva that I would ask Dave. Who better than Dave to answer a question about Dave?

Oops. Sorry. Is that another stupid question?

> It's tagged as "the home of witty banter", so it should be
> obvious ... LOL

Gosh. Dave the channel is not always full of witty banter, unlike our Dave, who is.

> Apparently it was chosen because"Everybody knows a bloke
> called Dave".

I know several chaps called David, like David Sonenberg, for example, but our Dave is the only Dave I know. Since I have declared him to be a genius (especially when it comes to Dr. Guff), I hesitate to refer to him as a mere "bloke" but I suppose that Jesus was once a "bloke", so it is true, "everybody knows a bloke called Dave", even me.

BTW, why are you so sensitive to "banal" or "stupid" questions? You claimed that Rockman had hit rock bottom when I asked our Conas what his favourite fizzy drink and flavour of crisps is. However, Conas answered the question (as you also did) and now we know more about our Dave and our Conas. Not only did the so-called "banal" questions achieve that wonderful thing but our Evil One was inspired to start a new and very successful thread about Walker's Cheese and Onion crisps. What looked like banality to your professor-like eyes actually led to some much needed intercourse.

> p.s. you could have googled it you lazy git

There is no need to call me a "lazy git". I have covered this subject in an earlier post with the thread line: "To Google Or Not To Google: That Is The Question".

I wrote: "Is this the same Steve Barton who was Michael Crawford's understudy for the original London production of ALW's "Phantom"?

Of course Dave will tell me to Google but I prefer to ask a question on the board because it helps to create a conversation (well, hopefully, sometimes there is no response, but that's okay, its worth trying).

If I Google instead of asking the question on the board, then someone visiting the board might not learn an interesting Steve Barton fact."

And now that we have talked about Dave The TV Channel, I hope that at least some members of the board are more enlightened.

Also, our Markus asked if I had been on vacation and you replied: "His mind is pretty vacant."

It's not true (neither is the silly conjecture you made on batmuiscal saying that 70% of what I say is bull - sorry to bring it up here but you won't allow me to bring anything up there).

However, I do like Johnny Rotten singing that "we're pretty, pretty vacant" and that "we don't care." Therefore I will not regard your remark as an insult.

Now that I am in a responding mood, I might as well respond to our Evil One. I wrote: "The Melbourne Symphony recording of "Bat Out Of Hell" was bad enough (when Meat sneaked in a song by another writer). Evil replied: "What are you on about? The album was released with just the seven Bat songs in the US. Anything For Love and CHSIB were bonus tracks for the UK. Meat wasn't sneaking anything in this case."

I'm sorry but I purchased the album in the UK and one song (as you say) was not written by Jim. So Meat was sneaking things in to what was supposed to be a "Bat" album.

Dave will be pleased that I Googled this one just to make sure that I am right. The extra track (as you say) is called: "Couldn't Have Said It Better" (James Michael / Nikki Sixx). It is only available on the limited edition - that must have been the one I purchased.

Also, the bonus DVD contains an audio only version of "I'd Lie for You (And That's the Truth)" (Diane Warren).

The regular DVD contains: "Mercury Blues" (K. C. Douglas / Robert L. Geddins) and "Testify" — (Kevin Griffin).

I wouldn't mind if this was billed as simply being a Meat Loaf concert but it is called: "Bat out of Hell: Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra."

Meat has admitted that he made a solemn pact with Jim never to work on a Bat project that did not include both of them. Meat did this with the Melbourne concert and with TMIL, clearing the way for Jim not to include Meat in "BOOH The Musical".

This is my response to AndrewG, who wrote: "Interesting then to you see you do exactly the same as "most" Jim fans, how original. Moaning about 1 extra song on a 80 minute album. What a load of bollox dude. How can you solely blame Meat Loaf for not having recorded properly with Steinman since 1993. Unlike some, people move on. In this place it is as if the last decade hasn't happened."

Our Evil One made me laugh when he replied to our Dave.

Our Dave said: "No idea. My memory is a sieve. The mp3 says '"The Cutting Room Floor" Misplaced Classics', if that helps." Our Evil One replied: "I'll ask Mr Egg to Google it." Ha ha. LOL.
