I am not trying to stir up any fights between Steinman and Meat Loaf fans. I am a fan of both Jim and Meat and I thought the post he left at mlukfc was interesting. I can't imagine Jim writing something like that and I was surprised that Meat did. That's why I posted it here. Its like, this guy is a big star and he spends effort on having a go at a fan? Also, you have to remember that the Meat Loaf doing TMIL debate is still an issue for some Steinman fans and for Jim himself. This is well known. They are already stirred up. The feelings are not "old" and me posting that was not going to change anyone's mind. It was only really interesting because a big star took the time to post a hate message to a fan (but Meat fans will not stop listening to him because of it and most Steinman fans like Meat). Actually Wordnix is going on about it over at batmusical because he got banned from mlukfc and the chap who received the hate post did not. Actually I didn't know it was out of context. I was sent the post by someone who is a regular board member here (before I read Wordnix complaining about it at batmusical). I do not hate Meat but me and this person find it difficult to forgive Meat for TMIL (and I hear that the same goes for Jim and some others). But posting Meat's rant is not going to change anyone's mind. They have decided how they feel about Meat using other songs for things like the Bat Out Of Hell: Melbourne Symphony Recording or TMIL a long time ago. I take it that it doesn't bother you. There are those who are not bothered. Will my post change them one way or the other? It does bother me but I am still a fan of Meat. I just think that he made a mistake with the above mentioned projects. Someone who posts here sent me the post that Meat left over there because it is so unbelievable. They are talking about it at batmusical, so why not talk about it here? What is the problem with sharing it with members of this board? Perhaps they will find it interesting. Its not trying to stir up a fight between Jim fans and Meat Loaf fans. It is something very interesting that Meat did and as you know Meat is very important to the history of Jim. So why not share it with Jim's fans? I can assure you that they are not going to get angry at Meat for having done it. It's just a wee bit bizzare. | |
