If you used TEOTH in a musical you would get sued as it would not represent how the author wanted it to be represented but if you put it on TV the same author seems to have a total different approach. Bizarre and Pathetic and until the Author gets a grip on these issues then nobody will take the BOOH Musical... seriously. You don't see Andrew Lloyd Webber having Don't Cry for Me Argentina as ad for tissue manufacturers.
