Classic Rock - Meat Loaf Interview

Latest issue of Classic Rock (June10) has a brief interview with Meat.

Q: Would you work with Jim Steinman again?

ML: I don't know. The last two weeks we've exchanged emails about 20 times. I love Jim with all my heart. But if we work again, I wouldn't do it without Rob Cavallo. I would never make another record without Rob Cavallo, and that's the bottom line. So if this is my swansong, I have gone out on the biggest high you could ever go out on. You want the best drug? Hang Cool Teddy Bear!

Q: What was your biggest waste of money?

ML: Bat 3. That would have been a bad place to stop.

I bet if Jim offered Meat 'Body...' he would come running? His 'swansong' should be some type of Steinman project..

Incidentally, anyone think if Meat had waited in 2005 for Jim, we would have seen a Bat 3 Steinman/ML album by now?. I'm not so sure.

Easier said than done, but I think Jim needs to try and get ONE big hit single again (before the Bat musical), and in turn kick start the musical financing (I suspect they haven't got all the funds in place, hence no news).

Still think 'Body...' would sit great on Adam Lambert's next album.
