Well, I'd prefer overused cliches strung together to some generic arena rock/Bon Jovi lite over the inconsistent mess that is "If God Could Talk." As Todd Rundgren quite rightly pointed out to Desmond Child, that song makes no sense whatsoever.
That being said, I'm not all too impressed with "La, la la la, la la / Running away from me" or "Singing na na nanana na / I won't change" either.
