Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

I was watching the X Factor and they advertised a new American film which is about to open in the UK. The film is called "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid".

The first half of the thirty second commercial featured TEOTH. Two kids tried to sing it and failed but the wimpy kid sang it wonderfully.

The remaining fifteen seconds of the commercial showed the wimpy kid who could sing being persecuted for being wimpy.

Then two commercials later, Talk Talk telephone (who are this year's X Factor sponsors), had a fifteen second commercial with a group of teenagers singing TEOTH inside an X Factor booth.

So both T Mobile and Talk Talk have used TEOTH.

I wonder how many times TEOTH will be used for ads and other things during the next one hundred years.

The wimpy kid film didn't seem to mind that it had already been used in Glee. Talk Talk doesn't seem to mind that it has already been used by Bonnie in the Master Card ad, by T Mobile, by Sony Playstation and by the Cadbury's Chocolate gorilla.

During last week's X Factor they played HOFAH while several really awful acts were being booted off.

Probably the most funny use of a Jim song in the UK is the Charities Comission ad (urging people to leave a will) which plays the tune from BOOH on a church pipe organ while a coffin with a Harley on top is taken into the church.

Anyway, I've got to go and see the wimpy kid film as soon as it opens (next week I think).
