I'll remain sceptical because, given your track record, "rumours" will be "rumour", "people like Steve Rinkoff" will be "Steve Rinkoff", and "disappointing" will be "not quite as good as previous shows with a bigger budget".
None of the productions except for Japan have had massive differences from each other, and each has had their strengths - Japan had a f*cking hilarious yet scary-in-a-ladyboy-sorta-way Herbert; Budapest had a great set given their limited space, and a very enthusiastic cast, and I always enjoy Thomas Borchert in some of the German and Austrian shows. I can't say which is "best" but I particularly liked the "concert" version in Vienna and the Budapest show.
btw I'm no Tanz "expert"; I just happen to have seen more versions than most, and not even as many as some others here.
