Well actually.. I for one are pretty pissed off that this has actually surfaced.
If I am not mistaken the version of ‘Privates’ you are all talking about and listening to would be the one that was cleaned up late last year.
I received a very poor quality copy of the track on a very old cassette tape.
In order to hear it properly I dubbed down a copy into Cubase and cleaned it up.
As far as I was aware Ray and Jim were the only ones that received a copy of the remastered track on CD, so as you can imagine this has been quite a shock.
Ray had given me permission to play with the track and come up with my own rendition, but alas, now this has happen it has set my plans back.
So thanks (sarc) to all who have participated in spreading this around.
