Yes! It was VERY, very haunting, especially the last scene. I will always remember seeing that in the cinema for the first time when I went along to the opening night over here. It never stated what became of the Joker, and theoretically he could have returned in the sequel if Heath had not died.
Are you looking forward to "The Dark Knight Returns"? Catwoman is the villain this time. And someone else, I can't remember who...
