I think Jim Steinman has had health issues and required open heart surgery not too long ago. At least that's what the rumor mill I subscribe to has led me to believe. However, I do *not* think Meat should have mentioned it in the interview. I understand Meat's interviews are kind of like free-form jazz, but I'm not sure what positive purpose was served by discussing Jim's health.

Having said that, I'd love to see Jim write, arrange, and produce Bat IV... with all new, original songs. Meat's objections about cost and time may prove accurate -- although, I would have framed them (for the purposes of the interview) more in the line of Jim Steinman being an eccentric and perfectionist of the genius variety. Still, Jim should finish the Bat saga with a great big record and Meat should sing at least some of the vocals... :)
