I remember that period in time.
I was totally astonished at some of the things that were being said to him.
Although Jim seems to have always openly welcome critisism and opinions of his work, some of the posts started turning rancid and the line between constructive critisism and blatent 'bashing' was severely crossed.
There is only so much negativity and 'bashing' a person can take. We are talking about our idols lifes work here.
In my opinion, the most painfull thing would have been getting that reaction from the people that say they are your fans.
I didn't blame him for walking away in the end.
I hope one day he will forgive us and come back again.
The board seems to have calmed considerably since then.
