Given her Golden Globes nomination as well as the pre-Oscar buzz regarding Jennifer Hudson's performance in "Dreamgirls" what do you think about the possibility that "The Future Ain't What It Used To Be" will be released as a single from TMIL? My guess is that the record company may want to ride the coattails of Jennifer Hudson's success (particularly if she garners an Oscar nomination, or even a win), and take advantage of the "free" publicity of having her connected with this song.
Personally, I feel that TFAWIUTB is one of the better-produced Steinman songs on the album (and, believe me, that's not saying much, given what Child's done to the rest of his "children").
What's everyone else's take on this?
